Recommendation guide · Sliding
When is a double door better, and when a single one? It depends on where the faucet controls are: they should be on the side where the door opens, so you can turn on the water without getting wet.
The problem / The recommended solution · Leaks
If the shower floor slopes outward, water leaks into the bathroom. The solution: a fixed panel sealed with high-quality anti-mold silicone, a bottom plastic seal with a deflector, and a clear waterblock retention bar on the threshold.
The right slope · The seal myth and the tile reality
The plastic seal only helps; the real protection is correctly sloped tile. Golden rule: every horizontal element where water can sit (niches, shelves, benches and the threshold) must slope toward the drain, 1/4" per foot. Slope inward: a dry bathroom. Slope outward: constant leaks and moisture damage.
Real examples with annotations

Seals and installation requirements
The technical sheets for the seals installed in each system — sliding and swinging — and the critical clearance requirement for sliding doors: a minimum of 3 inches between the wall and the edge of the step.
Important notice: before installing your door, make sure the tile in your shower is properly installed, with the correct slope toward the drain, to avoid problems down the road. If you have any questions, consult a specialist.
